Not when you've got disobedient kids visiting websites you'd rather be off limits. Not when they're streaming videos on Netflix or YouTube when they should be doing their homework. And certainly not when they know more about tech than you do.
But it's not just about your brat's insubordination.
Did you ever stop to consider just how many devices in the house are arm-wrestling with one another for bandwidth? Sure there's the obvious ones computers, tablets, smartphones. But then you also have media boxes and entertainment consoles, some mix of Apple TV, Chromecast, DVR, Roku, PlayStation and Xbox. It doesn't end there. You've got light switches and thermostats that connect to the Internet, and even own a bathroom scale that communicates via Wi-Fi.

Truth be told, oil giant Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) and major oil player Denbury Resources Inc. (NYSE:DNR) aren't likely worried about little ol' Propell Technologies Group Inc. (OTCBB:PROP)... at least not yet. Their lack of concern may end up being a big mistake, though. Propell Technologies Group has developed a new piece of oil well technology that can rejuvenate a struggling oil flow that might just make names like Denbury Resources and Halliburton green with envy.

Although oil prices are at multi year lows, nowmight be the time to start taking a closer look atsmall cap gas compression or enhanced oil recovery (EOR) stocks like TETRA Technologies, Inc (NYSE: TTI), Exterran Holdings, Inc (NYSE: EXH) and Propell Technologies Group Inc (OTCBB: PROP)as oil and natural gas prices willinevitably rise once again. To start with, natural gas compression services areneeded to transport natural gas from low-pressure wells into gathering systems, storage and processing facilitiesas well as to maintain production as reservoir pressure declines. In addition, compression servicesare used to extract gas fromunconventional natural gas sources like shale plays. As for so-called enhanced oil recovery or EOR, itsa generic term for the techniques used for increasing the amount of crude oil that can be extracted from an oil field with these potential methods including steam flood and water flood injectionor hydraulic fracturing(so-called fracking). Naturally, demand for compression services and EOR technologies are impacted by (the temporary)low oil and gas commodity prices and so are the share prices for publicly traded stocks in the space.

To begin with, natural gas compression services are used to transport natural gas and specifically to getnatural gas from low-pressure wells into gathering systems, storage and processing facilitiesas well as to maintain production as reservoir pressure declines. Compression servicesare also used to extract gas fromunconventional natural gas sources like shale plays. Meanwhile,so-called enhanced oil recovery or EOR is just a generic term for the techniques used for increasing the amount of crude oil that can be extracted from an oil field with potential methods including steam flood and water flood injectionor hydraulic fracturing(so-called fracking). Nomura Securities analysts initiated coverage on Symantec Corporation (SYMC) early on Wednesday, giving the stock a “Neutral” rating because its upside is already priced into its current valuation.
The analysts see shares of SYMC reaching $29, which suggests a 14.6% upside to the stock’s Tuesday closing price of $25.30.
Nomura Securities analyst Frederick Grieb commented, “In the early innings of a classic turnaround story, but upside largely priced In. We initiate coverage of Symantec (SYMC) with a Neutral rating and a 12-month target price of $29. Symantec is a leading vender in the security and storage markets, but has struggled to grow market share post its 2005 acquisition of VERITAS. The company has faced competitive pressures in its core markets, with ‘freemium’ antivirus software pressuring the consumer business, while the storage business has been challenged by enterprise migration to Windows and Linux from Solaris and UNIX. Despite these headwinds, we are launching coverage of Symantec with a Neutral rating, as we believe management will be able to improve the business by increasing margins (perhaps to +33%) and longer-term organic growth through a combination of simplifying management structures and a better strategy to incentivize the sales force. However, given the stock 33% increase YTD, due in part to multiple expansion (P/E up 18% YTD), we believe much of the upside from this turnaround is already baked in. FY14E EPS starts at $1.2; FY15E EPS starts at $2.18.”
Symantec Corp shares were inactive during pre-market trading on Wednesday. The stock is up 34.43% year-to-date.

Flash-forward to today
Apple finds itself in a somewhat similar predicament these days. On one hand, it has investors like Icahn, who hate seeing the company sitting on $147 billion in cash, and want it back in their hands, quickly. On the other, there are those who worry about Apple's innovation. They see competitors like Google (NASDAQ: GOOG ) on the software side and Samsung (NASDAQOTH: SSNLF ) on the hardware side taking market share in phones and tablets, especially overseas. Android is dominant in emerging markets. They also see competitors like Samsung releasing products like smart watches and Microsoft and Asus building good convertibles. They want Apple to put out a cheap phone, a smart TV, a phablet ... something ... anything.
